Hey, I’m Mirza 👨💻
So here’s the deal - I’ve got a lot of time on my hands these days (thanks, unemployment!), and I’ve always been someone who can’t leave technology alone. I poke at things, break them, fix them, and sometimes accidentally make them better too!
I figured it was time to start writing down all the random stuff I do with computers. This is my digital brain dump of everything I tinker with.
🧠 Current Obsessions
- Kubernetes: A container orchestration platform with a declarative API that can be extended to manage everything (I guess). What’s not to love?
- NixOS: Used to run Arch Linux (btw 😉), learned a lot there, then macOS, was happy there, but I like to do some thorough cleaning of my computer every now and then (basically a clean reinstall). Then I discovered NixOS’s reproducibility and now I’m all in.
- Secure Boot “Stuff”: I bought a new laptop to run NixOS (btw 😉), but during the few days of using Windows and setting up NixOS, I discovered BitLocker (can’t remember the last time I used Windows) and just fell into a rabbit hole of secure boot, disk encryption, TPM, etc.
- OpenStack: I like cloud platforms, but I also LOVE standards 🤤, so naturally, I had to dive into probably the most promising(?) open-source cloud platform.
